I remember camping out for Rush tickets with my best friend on a sidewalk outside of the local JC Penny's (they had a Ticketmaster counter in the store) That would have been around the "Grace Under Pressure" time frame. I had a well worn cassette tape of "Permanent Waves" playing nonstop and at some point we had to scrape together some change to buy replacement batteries for the boom box. We feasted on Bugles, Slim Jims and a few beers lifted from my bud's old man. Those were the days...

Rush medley leading into Spirit of the Radio (man those dude were so tight):

I'm down to the last few pieces to complete my YPS collection:
V2 100g Classic (oval YPS logo & S/N on short side) & 2oz Bullion Stacker Hex
Also any pieces with serial #17 & 18s. Please contact me if you have any of these for sale.

One of my all time favorites. I’m thankful I got to see Rush in concert. RIP.

HUH? NP is dead? Oh my!

As far as rock drummers go, he was the master.

I remember exactly where I was when I first heard 'Tom Sawyer' in Jr High.
I never heard Rush use foul language. Don't remember them having any drug usage issues.

Total potheads, for sure.

Some hash, bit of LSD, coke here & there.

But you're right. From what I understand, there was use -- but not out-of-control abuse, like you see with some bands, who eventually screw things up because of it.

Seems like Rush was able to balance it out, without going too much into the deep end.

I sure remember those days. For us the only place to score tickets was to wait inline at the old Godchaux's store ( sorta like a Pennys) downtown. Cash only but they werent that costly. Those tickets were the most beautiful things i had ever seen!
Kids now days just wouldn't understand the whole concert experience :)
