2019 PUMPKIN

Postby Rodebaugh » Tue Jan 08, 2019

Yep.....this is the 2019 Pumpkin thread. Back by popular demand. (no one demanded it.... but the're getting it and the're gonna like it)

Lots of stuff going on in the background during off season. I'll get into that later. Let's talk business now instead; Goals, what they mean, and methods to reach them.

Goal #1 remains the same........I want the state record.....bad....real bad.
Goal #2 Win the Raleigh NC weigh off
Goal #3 I want to get a 1750#er to the scales
Goal #4 I want to earn a growers jacket

What they mean:
1. State record is self explanatory. I want to be the grower of the largest fruit ever grown and harvested in the State of West Virginia.
2. I want to pull the repeat win in Raleigh.
3. I say 1750# but I will be shooting for a ton.
4. A growers jacket is awarded to a grower or a growing team if 3 pumpkins make it to the scales for a combined total weight of 4000#'s or more. It's like winning the masters in pumpkins. You, no joke, get presented with a coolass flipping pumpkin jacket. So am I growing 3 pumpkins?.....more on that later.

Methods to get there:
Bust my hump and hold nothing back. It's serious this year folks.

My lifting crew Oct 2018 raising Girthtrude.

I feel like I gotta make a pilgrimage this year, probably crawl the last mile. Maybe get some pumpkin water sprinkled on my bad back. Carve my initials in the big one...well, maybe not that.
