Hello Randy,
Yes, we are applying a patch for a security issue this morning which may have elevated your servers load. This is being done to resolve CVE-2015-0235.
This fix is applied now so your servers performance should be back to normal. Please let us know if there continue to be errors.
Thanks!
Chris

The sluggishness this morning was our provider installing a security patch. Should be fine now. Please post any issues in this thread.

Re: Website Errors - WiredTree VPS
Got this both times after sending two PMs this evening. The messages still went through and the rest of the site has been working fine for me. Just won't load a page after submitting a PM.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@bullionstacker.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Just about the time you posted about the errors:
lfd on host.bullionstacker.org: 182.254.153.249 (CN/China/-) blocked for port scanning
I'm clearly not very bright.

Just now, same as Nate 2 posts up, errors after sending a PM. This is the only time I ever see these types of errors, and it seems the PM always goes through, so it must be having the issue showing the "confirmation" page afterwards. Weird.

Looks like the mail server had issues last night. We will probably be clearing out the notifications database and asking everyone to re-subscribe to their favorite threads.

I don't think webmaster@bullionstacker.org even exists.

Hi, I have a PM stuck in the Outbox for like 8 hours now.
Will it eventually send off on its own? Re-send?
Thanks!

It will disappear when the recipient opens their inbox but it does not mean they have read it yet just that it was delivered.

Re: Website Errors - WiredTree VPS
Site went down at about 9pm mountain time, came back at about 10:30...and now it's extremely sluggish. For first hour or so it just wouldn't load at all, after that it came up with a sql socket error.

Just you as far as I'm concerned as it's the same here.

The load speed seems about normal to me. Click to load in less than a sec.

I've been seeing delays when clicking "new messages" but only in the early morning. We might need to optimize a few tables.
