Alright, I'm up to this. But with the Crypto learning curve, I feel like I'm on American Ninja facing the wall with a little bit of a curve on the bottom then straight up for the next 14'. If I have any more questions after looking up DAG and QRL, I'll post it over on the Cryptonoob thread.

However, it sounds like you are saying if I own 1,000 NEO and they hard fork or convert wallets some/many/most of my NEO will fork over (lol, fork it over: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76G2rlXxf08) as quantum resistant and the rest will stay non-resistant continuing down the old fork. Is that correct?

Yes. If NEOQS is successfully implemented, it will mean that NEO has changed it signature scheme. Now anyone using the NEON wallets ought to be used to upgrading by now, but yes, it will require another upgrade, and likely a fork. This isn't a big issue for NEO based on the consensus algorithm and how NEO currently operates. It is a much bigger obstacle for bitcoin because the codebase is much more difficult to change (see the block size debacle from last year which gave us Bcash & "segwit2x). So NEO won't have nearly as tough of a time as bitcoin will have upgrading.

Now even if you and 95% of the other NEO holders upgrade that doesn't mean everything is good to go. Because the 5% (or whatever number it is) that didn't upgrade to NEOQS will still be at risk. So if a quantum hacker can steal 5% of the coin supply that has a very large negative effect on the other 95%. At that point NEO would have to choose to either let that hacker keep his ill gotten gains, or do yet another fork (similar to what NEM is going through right now after their $500 million hack on CoinCheck). So if there is a coin that is 100% quantum secure and won't need to worry about this threat, then there is value in that - especially as every other crypto will have these same concerns. I like NEO a lot but I also like diversification and hedging my DBETs. ;)

CEO of Binance just tweeted they will be supporting NEP-5 (NEO tokens) soon. Bullish.

The most updated NEON wallet is here:
https://github.com/CityOfZion/neon-wallet/releases/tag/0.1.2

If anybody needs to check and see what is the most recent wallet version, simply check the GitHub here to see if you have the most updated one: https://github.com/CityOfZion/neon-wallet/releases/

Do any of you guys keep your NEO on a ledger? I keep my ETH based tokens on my Trezor and interface with MEW. Do you do the same with NEO? Keep them on the ledger and interface through NEON?

Like this:

Does this work for the ledger blue as well?

When I tried to load NEO on my blue it would not load it about a month ago. I gave up trying.

Do you have to do anything special before downloading the most recent NEON wallet or just DL and it automatically moves your NEO to the newest version wallet? I've never had to update a wallet before and want to make sure I don't screw this up.

I always 1) claim gas, 2) shut down NEON wallet, 3) download newest version of NEON wallet, 4) Open new wallet - which is automatically replaced.

Never had a problem, always works. You likely don't need to claim the gas either, it is just a habit I do before moving funds or shutting down out of habit.

I do the same but don't claim gas before loading new version. When you sign in to the newer version of the neon wallet with your wallet password it loads like normal with NEO gas as it was.

More good news for NEO holders. If you hold NEO on 01MAR18, you will be getting some free ONT courtesy of the City of Zion. Holders receive 0.2 ONT for every 1 NEO they hold. Details here: https://neo.org/blog/details/3061

I expect the NEO price to continue to creep north as we reach this date. Not sure how exchanges will handle this drop so best to hold in your own wallet.

KuCoin said they'll distribute it, I'm sure Binance will follow, and Bittrex will keep it (steal it) for themselves like they're doing to the millions of $$ of gas they've been accumulating.

PS, does anyone know bittrex neo wallet address, I want to see how much gas they're raking in.

I normally have this experience. Just make sure to run the checksum to make sure you're downloading the right binary.

ONT is one of the ones TC mentioned a while back along with WANchain and 1 more I can't recall.

I'm sure Binance will follow

Looks like Binance will support the ONT drop: https://www.reddit.com/r/BinanceExchange/comments/7yosdq/binance_and_the_litecoin_cash_fork/duj9i34/

Weiss Ratings issued its first-ever Excellent score (A-) to NEO, upgraded from B- last time around. That seems to be the main reason for NEO (and GAS) booming today.

How bout Ontology airdrop for holders of NEO on 1 Mar? NEO pretty strong tonight regardless. Texmex66 Ratings issues a A++ for NEO. :D
