The Wrecking Crew

I liked the show Lilyhammer, and I'm just starting to get into the series Hell on Wheels

Too bad it's gone. Netflix won't carry it any longer and I'm not sure they've made any more episodes.

The Rocky movies are up on netflix, well worth watching if it's been a while. My 11 yr old daughter and I are enjoying watching them together as we've wanted to do since seeing Creed. It pleases me that she's loving them as much as I do.

For those who watched and enjoyed Marco Polo, the new short:
Marco Polo: One Hundred Eyes
The backstory on the blind monk was very good

Netflix hasn't been all that good lately, so I got Hulu. Watching season one of SNL...yes, 1975...

Ditto about declining quality of Netflix offerings. Lots of Brit TV series shows, but the movie offerings are getting overpopulated with one-star and two-star dogs.

Hiya All,
Could someone with Netflix tell me if they show old/classic cartoons? Thinking about Bugs Bunny, Heckle and Jeckle etc...
Cheers,
L.

No, I don't see anything like that in their collection. From my experience Looney Tunes and other classic cartoons don't really have any complete collections available.

And a lot of the ones you see on TV today have been butchered for time length and to be more politically correct.

For comic book shows, I really liked Daredevil, as well as Jessica Jones (though not as much).

Peaky Blinders was pretty good if you like historical crime dramas.

Currently working through Breaking Bad, and X-Files, which was my childhood.

And of course check out Sherlock.

We tried watching that, but their unique idea of showing the backstories of the female inmates, in order to give the characters more depth, is kind of ruined by the fact that the male guards are completely one dimensional.

If you're a fan of Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits, you might like Black Mirror as well.

I would recommend '71 as a good film to watch. It's about a British soldier stuck behind enemy lines in Northern Ireland. Very good script, plot and cinematography.

I also re-watched "The Jackal" with Richard Gere, Sidney Pointie and Bruce Willis. What a good movie I had completely forgotten about.

Bummer, will probably get Netflix anyways... Thanks :)

Fastball

We watched this excellent documentary on Netflix last night.

Scientists and baseball greats analyze what a batter faces when a pitcher hurls a fastball, which takes less than half a second to reach home plate. Narrated by Kevin Costner.
