River Valley Vintage - HiBid Auctions

A number of local auctioneers turned to the HiBid online auction platform last year when in-person events were prohibited or severely restricted, and it has gained quite a following of buyers. It's sort of a hybrid between the traditional in-person live auction and an eBay auction. It can actually be used several different ways (to collect absentee bids prior to a live in-person auction, to webcast a live in-person auction, accepting both floor and online bids, or in an online-only format). I am doing online-only with staggered end times and a soft close. I'm using my booth at an antique mall to display the items and for local payment and pick-up following the auction.

Here's my first auction. I started small to get a feel for it. I threw in a couple silver bars and some coins to see how that goes. This one ends Sunday 6/13/21 starting at 6:00 PM Pennsylvania time.

The first HiBid auction went pretty well. I only had one buyer fail to pay, and only for a $2 item.

My second auction ends tomorrow. I included some more coins and bullion in this one. I'll waive the $5 handling charge for any Realcent/Bullionstacker members who happen to win something and need shipping.
