I made some maple glazed salmon tonight using HNsorter's syrup. Much better flavor than what I have made in the past. Dark/robust is the way to go.

I got a 2nd box. Pepitos this time. They are amazing. I like them better than the pecans.

How did you prepare it?
Did you just marinade in the syrup before baking/grilling?
I got some sockeye in the freezer to try...

Pan fried (salt and peppered, no breading.) After cooking half way on one side, flipped it over, then added 1/4 cup syrup, 1/4 cup water, and perhaps a tablespoon of butter. Spooned the syrup/butter mixture over the salmon while it finished cooking. Once finished and on the plate, spoon the pan sauce over the fish.

how long will it last if we did keep it in the fridge after opening it ? That is a good question. It's a long time. Months. Not sure how many but I have never seen any go bad in a fridge. Freezer will extend your window even further (year+). This is impossible for me to test because we use it too fast :D

Indeed it doesn't freeze, but it gets thick. A little of that drizzled on some homemade
vanilla ice cream.......
I think that along with honey, maple syrup is under appreciated. It's the stuff that keeps
the trees growing, and going strong. Not refined and in a form that your body can handle.
Thanks again, NH for making it available to BS

Shippeevt I can't speak for others but I grew up in New England and now live in the south and getting it here is expensive and not always sure what is in it...if you price it online Sorter actually comes out cheaper and I like to support small business...so that is my reason...plus his stuff is real good!

If you can find it in your area, try some Steens dark La sugar cane syrup, um, um, good!
