I'm guilty of the same thing.
I took an Xacto-knife, and trimmed off everything but the adhesive strip on a Post It note. Wrote "BS Amazon" on the strip and put on the lower part of my monitor. I'm embarrassed to think about how many times I went through checkout, and then remembered about the BS link.
When I'm window shopping on Amazon, if I see something I'm interested in, I'll add it to my cart, but usually I won't buy it at the time. I like to check around on prices, because in too many cases Amazon is much higher than other retailers on the internet.
Besides, it warms my heart to deny Mr Bozo a few shekels when I can.
Using the cart like that works great for me. Right now, I've got 24 items in my cart, but I'm not going to buy any or all of them until I've checked around, and I take a little time to think about how many of those items I really want or need. Some will be deleted prior to checkout.
I'm new to minimalism, but I trying not to impulse buy.
Now....let's say I've decided I'm going to buy the contents of the cart. Can I simply use the BS link and then checkout? (probably not).
Maybe the best option here is to print out a list of the cart, delete all of the items from the cart, get outta Amazon and click the BS link, and then start filling an empty cart.

Re: Bullionstacker Amazon Store
I believe you should click the link first to take you to Amazon, then load the cart. I'm not really sure and Amazon doesn't provide many details. Nate may know the answer. The commissions vary depending on the item and some items don't pay anything.
If you tell me that you bought something, and then I ask Amazon why we didn't get a commission, they will consider you a friend or family and stop paying commissions on anything you buy.

Re: Bullionstacker Amazon Store
I agree.
I like using the cart to hold items of possible interest, but I may not actually buy until 1-2 months later. What I'll do on my next next purchase is print out a list of the cart, delete all the items, and then the next
day, hit the BS link, and start over with a clean cart.
Are you serious? Should I be telling you when I make a purchase so you can check?

No, it doesn't matter. We'll take whatever they send. I've checked a few times when Nate posted a list. Some items paid a commission and some didn't.
