Re: Keystone Precious Metals - 1 Oz Silver In Stock Again!

Postby natsb88 » Thu Jan 05, 2017

I have 1 oz silver in stock again. Slightly different surface finish than previous bars, and comes with a lower premium

BS/RC members who order on the website with the "check / money order" option can take 3% off their order totals (you will have to manually do the math), and in addition to paper payments, I can take Venmo, CapOne/Chase/WF, or PPG. Place your order on Copper Cave first, then send payment to natsb88@yahoo.com, leaving the notes field blank.

Re: Keystone Precious Metals - Bismuth In Stock!

Postby natsb88 » Tue Jan 31, 2017

Finally made a (very small) batch of bismuth bars. It's been nearly four years since the last batch (?!) and these are still low serial numbers. Teens and twenties for the 1 oz and 10 oz, twenties and thirties for the 5 oz (but no matched sets available at this time, the numbers do not all overlap). I would have made more, but I opened what was supposed to be 20 pounds of bismuth to find 20 pounds of antimony, so I'm waiting on an exchange and was only able to use a little bit of material I had on hand.

I also have about 25 1oz silver bars in stock as of this post.

Antimony...close but no cigar...more toxic.
What is bismuth exactly used for in bars?
Does it acquire the colorful crystal structure over time?
I read up on it a bit and it is a great diamagnetic element.

In bars...stacking and collecting  . More of a novelty/collector item than a hope-spot-price-increases item.

Bismuth is 86% as dense as lead so it's used as a (much more expensive) replacement for lead in applications where lead is no longer allowed (like lead-free ammo for hunting in certain areas). It is also used in a lot of low-melting-temperature alloys. Like water and unlike most metals, bismuth actual expands when it solidifies, so it can be used in alloys where you want to cast a part without shrinkage. Otherwise I think it's mostly used in compounds (cosmetics and pharmaceuticals) rather than as a standalone metal.

I have had a few bars sitting around for a couple years and haven't noticed any change in the colors.

"Taxation is Theft" 5 Oz Silver MemeBar

Maximum Mintage: 150

Issue Price: $105

Shipping: $3.50 for 1-2 bars, $6 for 3+ bars. Registered optional and extra. International at cost.

Cash, check, MO, Zelle, Venmo, Square Cash, PP+3%, PPFF only if you can't do any of the other fee-free methods (i.e. international payment).

I am making these to order, allow 1-2 weeks for shipping. I should have silver here this weekend for the first 25 or so bars. I will make and ship them in the order payment is received.

Serial Number collectors get first choice of numbers. If you don't care about the number, please say "any number" and I will put you in a pool to fill in what is left after a few days. I will give it a few days at BullionStacker and Realcent before I list these elsewhere.
