I expect this has been posted somewhere on the website. Not "coins," but a nice find:

Not quite a coin star machine find. But, I did my end of the week recycling. I recycled $7.20 and received a 1963-D Rosie dime. I do love getting silver for face value.

I have NEVER seen a coinstar or any coin counting machine with anything left in it. Maybe the taxes are so high in CT that nobody can afford to leave a penny behind...or a schilling :)

You have to check every machine every time. Also check the feed tray, the floor around the machine and up on top of the machine for any bags or containers that may have been forgotten.

One of my kids is even trained. Usually we just find dirty nickels stuck together with dried up soda from someone's cup holder, a couple pennies or foreign money. I have found a few dollars worth of cash but no silver. In Montana we also get a lot of rejected Canadian which we just swap out at fast food joints or convenience stores who give it out to the next sucker who takes it to the next store...

I once saw a machine in the local grocery store where the feed tray had several dollars worth of ordinary coin jammed up. I thought about going to cust service claiming it ate my money but I'm too honest. That's why I'm here and not scheming on other sites :)

I got a bicentennial quarter in my change today. That's a profit of $0.10-$0.15 based upon full roll price of those quarters.
