Very happy with the outcome. Pinch seam is still miles away from stock rubber. I'll eval that area again after putting the lift on. Oh and guess what brown Santa delivered today. :D

It will be 2-4 weeks before this gets installed so you non-Jeep meganerds will not have to worry about this thread being daily bumped by me in the interim. I do have a few other projects so maybe a small post here or there. :shh:

It's like getting a new YPS pour. Keep it sealed for a little bit....then bust it out and start fondling.

There will be action shots posted. These things take time. :turtle:

Powder coater called. My bits have been dusted and baked. :D

I will pick up the parts tomorrow and look to do an install within the next two weeks. The control arms, track bars, brackets, ect were all done in a semi gloss black. The coils were done in stop sign red. Here is a picture of the coils.

Fixed a jeep yesterday for a lady in Walmart parking lot, well sort of. Her son had replaced her battery and broke the bolt on the negative terminal, figured hey it started once, good enough, NOT. Went back into the store grabbed a vicegrips for 4 bucks and sent her on her way with implicit instructions for the repair, she wouldn't take my number as I offered to get the part from the dealer and do it right.

Good for you. I used a pair of vice grips once to pinch off a broken front brake line on an offroading trip. Pretty interesting having 3 wheel braking coming down off some rocks.

Scheduled to meet up with my buddies and do an install this weekend....but I have been hit with severe montezuma gastrointestinal discomfort. Playing if off to my wife like its nothing so she doesn't insist for me to stay home. "yeah honey I feel just fine" Now that is an alternate fact. I want this install to happen bad.

I am happy with the results. :ugeek:

Love this thread and the work your doing Rodebaugh.

Is there a good Jeep forum that someone can recommend? I've tried a few, but they haven't been to active. Is there one that stands out? Thanks for your time.

Day One: The lift project. Install of a Metalcloak 3.5" game changer Rocksport.

First thing is first. The removal of stock rubi/wrangler parts. Here is my father and uncle Mike doing some tear down on the front end.

My cousin Eric mid way through on the front end. Shocks are in place. Man that Red looks good. Sway bar linkage pulled. He is holding a front Rocksport shock still bound up with the shipping strap.

Dad is doing some supervising. He does a great job looking over morgan dollars. Turns out he is pretty skilled at watching other folks turn a wrench as well.
