Losing = winning!

UVa is the first team in the history of the AP basketball poll to move to #1 after a loss. Poll started in 1948-49 season. Also the first ACC team to reach number one after starting out unranked.

Coaches poll disagreed, but what do they know.

This is the reason I can't get interested in college sports. It's like watching figure skating in the Olympics. You end up with a crap score cause the fix is in with the Soviet judge. Reshuffle the teams into divisions where everyone plays the same difficulty of schedule and use the win-loss records to see who gets in the playoffs. Otherwise it's just cow poo.

Lady & Gentlemen, Start your Engines!

Dale Jr will say these words today. Still gives me goose bumps when the drivers hit their start buttons and those motors come to life. Dayton 500 is cranking up today. The start of a new season, Chevrolet is dropping the SS and bringing out the new Camaro. Peyton Manning is driving the pace car 8-)
Boogity, Boogity

There are over 100,000 people at Daytona today and it looks like every person stood and placed their hand over their heart during the National anthem.

#3 wins Daytona, again ;)
This is a man's man race and Dillon does the best slide and burnout ever, reminiscent of Dale Sr's win and infield burnout 20 yrs ago 8-)

MLB wants to speed up the game by limiting mound visits to 6 per 9-inning game. Cubs catcher says no bueno:

I don't understand all the fuss. It wasn't bad or disrespectful, just a different musical interpretation.

Jimi Hendrix's version of the Start Spangled banner which is widely regarded as a classic took bigger liberties with the tune. Creative license is just another kind of liberty.

I think she’s got a heck of a voice and is very talented. I just think it was the sexiest version of the National Anthem I’ve ever heard  .

am I the only one who.......

Postby mnymgr1 » Fri Feb 23, 2018

hasn't watched more than 2 minutes of the olympics this year ??
I guess I watch more summer game sports, maybe that's part of the reason.
But I just have so little interest in the games due to all the politics as well.
Doping from Russians, nasty NK crap, etc.

I'm curious how the ratings are this year for NBC

This happened here yesterday. A couple of seconds left in the game and this St Thomas Moore 8th grader gets the rebound and then chunks it full court (left handed) and strips it to win the game.
I hope Coach Wade sees this
