So I binge watched all of the episodes from this season over the last 4 days.
Gosh do I love speeding over 4 minute commercials.

I was impressed how the show progressed last year, the interpersonal stuff / interaction.
This year, it's all a bit jumbled and muddy, like the writers got swapped out and they got new ones.
I still like the show though. Didn't care for how they magically had an episode this year that seems like it should have been the first one ever, or at least in season 1, with the jump back in time, but at least it tied up some loose 'how'd they end up there' ends.

I don't care for all the homosexual talk, tricks, props....that just went too far imo. It is in an adult time slot though so kids should not be watching the show anyways. The violence level gets an 'ehhhh' from me as I know my teen and all his friends play these video games that are way past gory. I talk to him about it from time to time to reinforce some things so the tv violence doesn't bother me.

What I do like is the character development of the main three from hell/heaven. As they discover that emotions play a big part in life, they are having to deal with them when they never had to before. Similar to how Data and/or Spock in the Star Trek Series' had to figure out how to be human in order to succeed/interact.

Tricia Helfer, not sure they needed to bring her character back but she is a well known actress from her Battlestar Gallactica run, so she doesn't hurt ratings. The tech girl in the lab, her niceness quotient is way past annoying, glad Cain gave her a good yell at the end of the last episode. Speaking of bringing back beloved characters, why not bring Yvonne Strahovski (from the show Chuck) to Lucifer ?? Where the hell did she go ?!

As some of you mentioned, and I agree, being a Christian many times is a negative in hollywood. No matter what the company does to Lucifer though, the show still shines a light on being Christian. Sometimes I think people see way too much negative when they should see a positive that is hidden in a wolf's coat. In the past, some Christian organizations came out against movies that were 'un-Christian', like the Davinci Code and I think The Chronicles of Narnia (I'm a bit fuzzy on the exact movies, sorry). I never watched the davinci code all the way thru and Santa was in Narnia for goodness sakes.....lol.

I wish everyone would get much more upset over not having congressional term limits or that 'little' pile of debt at $20 Trillion 8-)

Da Vinci Code... for sure. Dan Brown makes a fuss over stating how historically accurate his data is. But he mixes fantasy into historical data to confuse the layman. If Satan were writing & directing a movie to discredit Jesus, I couldn't think of a better hit job than Da Vinci Code.

Now Chronicles of Narnia is a whole different story. That was written by C.S. (Clive Staples) Lewis who also wrote the epic Christian book - Mere Christianity. The guy was one of the most influential evangelists of his time. I don't know a single Christian who was outraged by Narnia being made into a movie. Perhaps I don't get out enough though.

Not Narnia. Probably thinking of The Golden Compass.

yeah, I'm really tired today, but know there have been a few movies over last 5-10 years that Christians took offense to.

She's currently in The Handmaid's Tale (streaming series, Amazon I think). I'd definitely like to replace Tricia Helfer with Yvonne.

There have been a couple of interesting takes that may or may not be from the Bible. The first (mentioned early in this thread) is that Lucifer is not evil but enjoys punishing those who are. Another was the claim that people/souls can leave h*ll whenever they want, it is their guilt that keeps them there.

I just watched this week's Lucifer, which went back to Day 1 in LA. When his brother called him evil, he lost it, which goes back to an earlier point in the series (mentioned above). But another snide remark in this episode probably annoyed many in the bible belt: there are no porn stars in h*ll, possibly because of all the good they do here on earth!
