U.S. Woman With Terrible Headaches Wakes Up With British Accent
http://denver.cbslocal.com/2018/02/12/w ... sh-accent/
Michelle Myers has reportedly suffered from debilitating headaches for several years. On three occasions however, the headaches left Myers speaking with a foreign accent the next morning when she woke up. “They send in the psychiatrist at the hospital and make sure you’re not a loon,” the 45-year-old said, via WTOL.
Previously, Myers has woken up with Australian and Irish accents which lasted for weeks before fading. After the last incident, the mother of seven has been left sounding like a regular Brit for two years.

The 45-year-old is not the only Texan to suddenly turn British in recent years. In 2016, Lisa Alamia woke up from jaw surgery speaking with a British accent and was diagnosed with Foreign Accent Syndrome as well. The procedure reportedly caused nerve damage that triggered the disorder.

This one is just too gross to quote. Let's just say I'd much rather have Foreign Accent Syndrome!

Here's the disturbing part... who's too busy to swat a fly from their face??

Most people avoid contracting eye worms because they wave away flies that land on their face, Bradbury said. In this instance, the woman might have been too distracted while riding horseback to free a hand and shoo the fly off.

Imagine what it must be like to be 17 yrs old and win a Gold medal in the Olympics!
This kid wasnt even supposed to make the snowboard finals. He just went for it all, from last place to first.
Love this quote from the article "" Before 11:30 a.m. local time, the most precious metal grasped by a member of the Gerard family on Sunday was aluminum. ""

Tens of thousands of revelers are expected on New Orleans streets for parades and rowdy fun as Mardi Gras caps the Carnival season in a city with a celebration of its own, its 300th anniversary.

ZULU is rolling now, its the first of the parades and to me its the best one. I was lucky enough to get a Zulu Coconut in '89

I saw Alvin Kamara and other Saints players on one of the Zulu floats. Thats an honor to be invited to be in their parade.
This year there were about 50 floats and lasted over 4 hrs

Happy Fat Tuesday

A Westminster wow: Bichon frise becomes America’s top dog

http://www.breitbart.com/news/a-westmin ... s-top-dog/
Flynn the bichon frise won best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club on Tuesday night, a choice that seemed to surprise almost everyone in the crowd at Madison Square Garden.
Fans who had been loudly shouting for their favorites fell into stunned silence when judge Betty-Anne Stenmark announced her decision.
No matter, the white powder puff was picked and walked off as America’s top dog.

His gold medal run was epic. Watch the last 2 or 3 jumps in this run! Amazing.

Why the thumbs down? Trying to remove crap from a young kids diet seems like asituation. I think their heart is in the right place, but it’s still McDonald’s. It’s not like they have great healthy alternatives.
Let kids be kids. They don't want carrots.

Happy Meals should be a once in a while thing. Not an everyday food staple.

Re: BS Banter-For the drivel that belongs no where
if kids would just exercise / play outside vs. all the Xbox they play now, plus eat either veggies and/or salads regularly, I don't see any reason why kids have to avoid fat / cholesterol. Kids bodies flush that stuff right out of them, while us oldsters get vascular disease. I want my kids to enjoy their remaining kid years so I don't restrict their diets too much other than avoiding salt at every step. If they are used to less salt, their adult years will be easier to maintain with no/little salt. And we take an iodine supplement (lugols) once in a while since salt is where most iodine in Western diets comes from.
