Water is running into my new art studio. All our chickens drowned. Another 8" and will be in the house. I am at work and can't get home.

jim, they won't let you leave work to protect your own home and family?!
guessing that means your workplace is getting it hard there too, battling it there now?
good luck

Our control room flooded and set off the halon system under our subfloor. Our admin building is flooded and our servers are under water.

I basically swam in to work before daylight. The night crew is still here and we are doing a controlled shutdown of our petrochem plant. Then, I may try to swim home.

Another 25" of rain predicted. Will be over 50" by then. Also, the river authority is opening up at least 3 different dams. Lake Conroe, Lake Houston, Lake Livingston are all at max levels and dam pressure is critical. There will be even more devestation down stream on the Trinity river and San Jacinto.

We need a little break. ....

Happened to us in our Polyol unit during a hurricane. What fun, we put stacks of sand bags completely around the control room and then set up potable pumps... Hope you guys get back to normal soon

Wife and kids stuck in Fulshear TX. Brazos river is supposed to crest tonight at an 800 year high of 59 feet. They went out today in the lift kit truck and towns and roads all around are under water. So sad what's happening. My family is safe for now but the water keeps rising.

I also have been so caught up in this I forgot I had some gold listed...someone's getting a deal tonight under spot if paying attention.

The Brazos river and all its tributaries are now out of their banks and all the neighborhoods nearby are relentlessly flooding. Jim I wish I could help you but all I can do is pray the water ends soon.

Looks like Harvey will go back out in the gulf and come right back in and hit Galveston. At least the dirty side moves east so you'll catch a break there. You deserve a break. Keep posting updates on FB brother. Becky asked about you tonight and she's praying for you and yours.

Unbelievable but a Tropical disturbance is predicted to move from the Gulf of Campeche into the Gulf of Mexico and TX/La next week, and TS/Hurricane Irma is moving due West and may be in the Gulf the week after that.
Be prepared

IRMA

Postby mnymgr1 » Tue Sep 05, 2017

looks to already be a category 4, headed in a somewhat straight line for Miami. Florida governor just declared state of emergency, as has Puerto Rico.
Don't think they know if it veers north and runs up the East coast or goes over Southern Florida and hits the gulf coast states.

We really need to start controlling the weather over the next 20-50 years

Watching Irma pretty close. Hoping it doesn't get into the gulf then move north. We haven't had a direct hit here in Panama City in a long time. Let's pray she takes a hard turn and misses us all. The track they have it taking they say there is nothing to slow it down and she may even get stronger.

My dear friend, only God controls the weather.

"Job 37:9 "Out of the south comes the storm, And out of the north the cold.
10 "From the breath of God ice is made, And the expanse of the waters is frozen.
11 "Also with moisture He loads the thick cloud; He disperses the cloud of His lightning.
12 "It changes direction, turning around by His guidance, That it may do whatever He commands it On the face of the inhabited earth.
13 "Whether for correction, or for His world, Or for lovingkindness, He causes it to happen.
14 "Listen to this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God."

geez, after Irma.......

Postby mnymgr1 » Tue Sep 05, 2017

is possibly Jose.
here's to hoping it dies out all the way out in the middle of the sea, they mention that the winds from Irma could actually keep Jose from strengthening.

We knew this was coming:

Beyonce, George Clooney Among Stars Set for Multi-Network Hurricane Harvey Relief Telethon

Date set for Sept 12. By that time it might be a combined Harvey-Irma telethon.
