Donations in memory of mnymgr1
John was always a gentleman. He was a moderator here for many years. Even after he stepped down he would message me about issues. Always ready to help others.
Let's start a fund for the family. The money can be a gift to help out during this difficult time, or a donation in John's name to a charity of their choice. Let them decide. We did this for Maggie.
I'll start with $50.

Until we know where the money is going, let's just pledge for now. It can go directly to the family (most of us have John's bank transfer info) or to a charity. If neither of those work we can always send flowers.

John was a pillar to the community. He was a trustworthy and honorable man. I had 2 group buys with him when those were the thing. He always kept you posted to ensure you were in good hands. I will miss him.
RIP John

I too will miss him and his wisdom. He was one of the first members that I became friends with and I am at a loss for words. My prayers are with the family this evening in the hope that you find peace. God bless and take care. I would like to contribute 50.00

Maybe I'm ruining things here but I kinda feel like there are 2 threads here. 1 for John's memory and another to donate to a cause. Is it possible to separate these? If I'm just the fluffy kitten here then please shame me. Just feels weird talking about his memory and payments to his family at the same time.
I accept payment through Dwolla, PPG, check or money order. Accommodation available for international orders as well.

I agree. The donation posts should be split off into another thread. I'm not able to admin the site right now. Perhaps one of the other mods can do this.

Re: Donations in memory of mnymgr1
I'm going to handle this and work on getting the funds together. We've got 2 priorities that I see- getting a flower arrangement ordered today then the remaining funds can be sent to the family or a memorial (whichever they decide)
Unless the majority feel differently- I'll work on contacting a florist for an arrangement. Would $100ish be acceptable? I purchased flowers to be sent to the visitation. The card was signed from "his friends at Bullion Stacker"
Funds don't necessarily need to be sent right now. We can figure that out later.
