there was talk before about wanting clicked on links opening in a new tab, is scroll wheel still the solution?

Keep using the scroll wheel for now. This is on the list. We'll be making changes and adding features but first we need to get the site optimized. A better layout on small screens is the first priority.

We read and make note of every comment here. Keep 'em coming.

It's not just you. It seems like I need to try to load page twice to get on....

Not a fan so far. Won't easily load on my smartphone. Hard to navigate. Just like Kutzy. Same issues.

WiredTree is having an outage. This isn't related to the upgrade. Many websites are having issues right now.

To be fair, for all intents and purposes, it's the same board with a few things moved around and a few additional features.... Give it a couple weeks, you'll get a solid feel for where everything is and how it works and you'll forget all about the old one...

Agreed. I have been through this many times over the years with many different forums and after a couple of weeks of getting used to it and some complaints here and there it all works out in time.

This. WiredTree is having network issues. All of their sites (including their support system) have been down off and on this afternoon. Bad timing coming right after the site upgrade, but it has nothing to do with the upgrade.

Complaints about the layout and colors you can keep directing at me. If the site is unreachable or slow right now...not my doing

That's a weird Internet Explorer thing. I was able to replicate exactly what you are describing. Try making your browser window a little bit narrower or a little bit wider and those missing smilies should reappear. For some reason there is small range of browser window widths where Internet Explorer does not display those images correctly. No problem in Chrome or Firefox.

  You sir, are now on the Good Egg list. :turtle: :duck: and even the pesky :kitty: are all back. I adjusted my screen just a tad and everything is fine. My work computer is doing the same thing so, I will try it when I get to my office tomorrow.

I just want to say thanks to those who have put time and effort into this upgrade. I've been around computers and stuff long enough to recognize how much work was involved here and I appreciate it.

and I'll just leave this here...

The biggest issue with this upgrade is the loss of the pop-up that alerted us to new pm's, having that box made it impossible to miss pm's (on a laptop), now we must check the tiny bar periodically, unless we activate an email be sent, then you must check your mail :( Other than that one issue, GREAT job

This. On a desktop browser the new site pushes a notification to the browser title or tab, which is pretty cool.

I forgot the pop-up option even existed. I think I used that for one day on one forum and found it to be really annoying  . If I'm already on the site, it jumps out at me when it says "1 New Message" or now "Private Messages [1]" at the top. And I always use the email notification for PMs. My email is open in the background all day and goes to my phone too, which is much more of an alert than having to visit the site to check for messages.

This new setup is working fine for me on the iPad, haven't checked on the desktop and I don't run this on my phone cuz it would be just too damn small for me to see. Change is good.

This will take a bit of getting used to, but so far I am definitely a fan. I really like the look and feel on mobile!
