Website Errors - WiredTree VPS

Postby RyanEOD » Sat Oct 26, 2013

Ok, this is the new place to post any website problems you encounter. I know some of you are still having issues with getting the construction page, and after a day or two that should be gone. But, if you are doing anything on the site and you get errors or something is acting up, post it here and I will dig into it.

FYI - I will work on things as quickly as I can, if it is something that needs IMMEDIATE attention, click the bottom on the left to either PM me or E-Mail me so I get notification right away.

Thanks!

I have never really had this issue and had previously gone months without logging in. I thought it might be a cookie/browser setting that got changed on my computer, but it is happening on both my work computer and personal home computer.

Is anyone else having this issue where you have to constantly login again even though you click the "remember me" button?

Thank god I'm not the only one. I hit the remember me and auto every time I have to relogin and this still keeps happening.

Was hoping the switch to the new servers would fix this issue, but looks like it is as bad as ever. I've had to login 4 times today already. Not the end of the world (and the new server seems faster than it's ever been!), but it is a slight annoyance. Maybe it can be easily fixed?

Are you using a cookie blocker? If so, make bullionstacker a friendly site.

Clear your bullionstacker.com cookie then log in again. 99% chance it's a client-side issue (your browser), not a server issue. If it was a server issue, there would be many more complaints about it.

Are you on a Mac? I have this issue with my Mac at home. I've tried some fixes that were suggested but nothing helps. Mine usually kicks me off after a few minutes. I now copy my posts and PM's if they take a while for me to post because if I don't WhaBammm! I lose it and I have to login and do it again.

Safari on a Mac:

-From the Safari pulldown, choose "Preferences"

-Choose the "Privacy" tab

-Click the "Details" button (might take a sec to come up)

-Search through the list and find anything listed as bullionstacker.xxx
(it might be .com, .org or even .us)

-Select the BS sites from the list and "Remove" them

-Click Done and close the Preferences window

Log back in to BS and you should be good to go.

I believe you can highlight all of the tracks and enter the artist info, etc. all at once. Then go back and do the track names.

I have to log-in twice

Postby 7aw2tr4 » Wed Oct 30, 2013

here's a description of my issue; I log in with no problem, then when I click on "Gold Bullion Trading" (OR anything else) instead of getting that page, I'm back on the log-in page, and I have to log-in again, Then when I click on a topic link it goes there....so for a couple days now, I have to log-in twice....that's annoying

Have you tried with a different browser? Or on a different computer?

FYI.....

When I try to sort the Member List, there's an error. I can view all members by when they joined, but sorting gives me error.

Not Found

The requested URL /memberlist.php&first_char=h was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Gus,

Can you give me exactly what you are clicking on and where to get there?

Thanks!

If I got here;

http://www.bullionstacker.com/memberlist.php?sk=a&sd=d&form=postform&field=username_list&select_single=&username=&email=&icq=&aim=&yahoo=&msn=&search_group_id=0&joined_select=lt&count_select=eq&joined=&count=&mode=searchuser

I can change the sort by and hit search and it works, so I didn't know if you were changing something else or getting there a different way.
