Is this email legit?

Postby CaptainW » Mon Jan 14, 2019

Seems suspicious to me, but I'm sure someone here can say for sure.

"In attn to all MyEtherWallet users :

MyEtherWallet is preparing for the ucoming Ethereum Constantinopole upgrade.

This is undertaken as a step to transit from Proof of Work (PoW) protocol to Proof of Stake (PoS) protocol (Casper update). This is expected to make the ETH network faster and less costly to operate.
In case of a chain split, Myetherwallet will support the fork.
All MyEtherwallet users are required to login to MyEtherWallet and add the following custom address prior to the in order to receive both tokens that will result from the chain split:
Login : MyEtherWallet Add Custom Contract
Contract Address : 0xe335d29b2f7425a1c7f99ffed37a25b6cbfa3c9e
Symbol : ETH
Decimals : 18

Failure to update your wallet and keys to the new chain will result in your tokens being burned.

Thank you for your cooperation

I have a myetherwallet stashed away somewhere but have not received anything like that.
I'm clearly not very bright.

Unless you manually typed this (vs cut-and-paste), there are at least 2 grammar errors, which typically indicate scam emails.

I am pretty sure that no email addresses are tied to any of my MEW wallets.

Thanks for the replies. I was pretty sure it was scam mail but wanted to confirm.
And yes, that was copy and pasted so the errors are from the email.
