from what I've read at various places, Cryptopia is doing a lot of upgrades and transfers are "heavily delayed"....and I read they are 20 days behind with support tickets...

So I picked up a few thousand on this last dip, and sent to my wallet. Within 24 hours they arrived without issue. Not sure why I am lucky and you guys are having these issues. Maybe I get the VIP treatment?

Not sure. It's just irritating because you're forced to leave your tokens on the exchange

1 month delay on the DBET release. Announcement as follows:

DBET family, as promised here is an update as to where things are and what the entire team is working incredibly hard on.
The technology is coming along great, as hopefully you have seen or experienced in the Testnet.
On the tech side of things, we are currently working on the UI and UX of the sportsbook as well as connecting the slots to the House Shares aspect of the platform.
We are also working on ensuring the security of the platform through working with a network of independent security researchers through Hackerone to look for any potential vulnerabilities. There is also an audit happening on the Mainnet smart contracts by third-party auditors before the platform goes live in order to provide an extra layer of security.

On the legal and tax side of things, as you know we have engaged Perkins Coie, the best lawyers we could find. We are also engaging with lawyers and accountants around the world in key jurisdictions to ensure we have both the correct and most capital-efficient setup we can create, which will benefit both the company and our community.

As you can see there are many moving pieces including some reliance on the third-party audits that need to happen in order to launch the platform correctly and doing everything we can think of to make sure the platform is as protected as possible.

Our goal was to release the platform at the end of Q1 of this year but due to the nature of the platform and its complexity, there will be a slight delay in launching the Mainnet platform. We are now pushing Mainnet back 1 month with the first Mainnet release being the Slots with House Shares and Sportsbook to follow soon thereafter.
We are as anxious as all of you to release Mainnet but through our commitment to building the best technology and user experience possible, this extra time will ensure we start off on the right foot in the best interest of everyone.

In our upcoming AMA (Ask Me Anything), we will answer all your questions around:
● Exchange listings
● Who we are currently working with including which gambling jurisdictions
● Slot Machine and advanced features, what to expect for Mainnet
● Marketing plans
● New team members
● And more

Last but not least, we are bringing on some incredible value-add advisors to the team that have huge influence and cumulatively decades of experience in the online gaming world, as well as, some additional very exciting news coming up. Needless to say we are very excited about the future and hope you are as well :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you all for your continued support, we can never thank you or express our appreciation enough!

DBET team is in the final audit stage before launch. I will ensure to post on the instructions for anyone who wants to lock up their shares into the house so that they can get a return on the house profits. Until then, here are some of the latest announcements. Some impressive hires. Here are the 3 newest employee hires which are quite a big deal. The team also hired another developer but they keep the back-room guys behind the keyboards, not out front for video interviews....

DBET just brought on an outside gaming advisor, who is a former NGC Board Chairman.
Medium post here: https://medium.com/@decentbet2017/former-nevada-gaming-control-board-chairman-mark-lipparelli-joins-decent-bet-af24a50becdb

This team continues to demonstrate how serious they are about being the mover & shaker in the crypto space that brings online gambling in a transparent manner to the masses while playing by the books.

The DBET team believes the MainNet slots launch will happen within the next 2 weeks. A few guys in the community came together to create this crypto casino comparison chart (alliteration bonus!). I hold both DBET & WGR (but about 4 times more DBET than WGR). This chart highlights the serious market advantage that DBET will have in the market.
Edit 01JUN18 with updated chart to include VeChain data.

Confirmed MainNet launch this month (according to this teaser video). Price shot up 50% today. And that is only on 40 BTC volume. My buy orders under 1,000 sats don't look promising to ever get filled anymore.

Will this help or hurt the need for a crypto-based gambling coin?

Supreme Court rules states can legalize sports betting, strikes down anti-gambling law

It depends. If a project was trying to tap into the illegal markets and get around existing laws, it might hurt them. If a project is trying to be all above board, obtaining licensing, doing KYC, have both in-house legal counsel and outside counsel to ensure that they meet all the local laws for each jurisdiction within which they operate - it is definitely favorable. Decent.bet is doing the latter - as is shown in the last 3 hires they made (YouTube videos previously posted above).

While it won't become legal overnight, I know the Decent.bet team has been preparing as though this was going to be the case from the get-go.

Wyoming has been a state that has been trying to be crypto friendly. I can see them trying to attract crypto online gambling, but who knows. Great day for free markets and team DBET.

While this is a 7-day gainer chart, nearly all the gains have been in the last 3 days. I've not sold any of my DBET stack. Getting ready for MainNet!
