but other than that... the coin is legit??

It's basically indoctrination by the Blockstream corporation and their paid core employees. They censor everything not pro-core and demonize anything with bigger blocks (aka lower fees). It's been going on a LONG time now and a lot of folks have never heard any other opinion on bitcoin then the one spoonfed them by core. They just regurgitate the hate they are told.

Legit? Here is the "technical innovation" behind bitcoin cash. Copy bitcoin's code, change block = 1MB to block = 8MB, hit enter, market like crazy, call Bitcoin "bitcoin core" while calling the fork the "real bitcoin" because you own bitcoin.com website. Go off the rails when people call it B-cash or BitCash (my new favorite), but then continue to badmouth bitcoin. Roger also insulted my crypto hero Andreas so I am bias against him too.

You know who I do have respect for? Projects like LTC, XMR, Dash, PIVX, QRL and other alternate crypto currencies who are actually bringing new tech and innovation to crypto and not just a marketing blitz. I don't want Roger Ver as the leader or face of a project I'm involved in. These other alts have been around for year(s) and have entire teams behind them that want to do something original from the ground up. B-cash forked bitcoin and didn't need groundswell support because anyone holding bitcoin already had free B-cash. What value did they add? If their only argument is fast transaction times and low fees, guess what, 100 other cryptos do the same thing.

The smart play is to just hold both, but I don't always follow the smart play. I sold my Bcash for both bitcoin and what I perceive to be alts with better longer term value from a technological innovation perspective in this space. I understand many people are just in this for profit. Profit is nice, but some of us want to change the world too. Why do you think I love QRL so much? It wants to be on the leading edge of technology that will save us from future quantum computing security hacks. Do you think B-cash will be on that leading edge? Not a chance. It will probably be among the first ones hacked by QC.

So buy it if you like it; it's a free market. As to me and my crypto $$$, we shall pass on the B-cash, and the next time Roger "Rage Quits" on somebody else I will post the new pic and have another chuckle.

Rules without Rulers perfectly summarizes why bitcoin is superior to B-cash. Convenience isn't the most important aspect to crypto. Andreas has such a beautiful way of calling people/projects out - without actually calling them out by name. He did it to Ripple, and now we does it with B-cash.

An overview on the character or Roger Ver - the face of B-cash. Satoshi was a genius for staying anonymous.

This is for KeepKey users hodling Bitcoin Cash.

BCH Fork, Let’s Hash it Out
NOVEMBER 7, 2018

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is preparing to fork on November 15, 2018, at approximately 4:40 GMT (epoch 1542300000). KeepKey plans to continue support for sending and receiving BCH during the fork, but users will not be able to use the ShapeShift functionality until network stability has been ultimately determined. The ShapeShift blog will update within 48 hours of the fork for further details. KeepKey highly advises against transacting around the time of the fork due to the risks of replay attacks.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Fork
Just over a year ago, on August 1, 2017, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) hard forked from Bitcoin (BTC) with the intention of increasing block sizes and decreasing fees. Also known as BitcoinABC, Bitcoin Cash planned to fork every six months for protocol improvements. The development team for BCH is unable to reach a consensus on the software improvements for the upcoming fork. Due to the differing ideas, BitcoinABC and Satoshi Vision (BitcoinSV), BCH will hard fork and each side will have to hash it out to prevail as dominant.

Replay Attacks
As the fork occurs, users may be vulnerable to replay attacks when transacting BCH. Replay attacks occur when a user sends funds from one side of the fork and the network mirrors, or replays, the transaction on the other chain. In this scenario, if a user attempts to send BitcoinABC they may also inadvertently send BitcoinSV. If this happens, users lose the replayed funds and cannot recover them.

What does this mean for KeepKey & ShapeShift Users?
KeepKey will continue to support BitcoinABC but recommends all users to be secure and hodl their BCH until the network stabilizes. Hodling is the safest option and performing any other actions is at the risk of the user. In the event of a replay attack, we will not be able to help you recover your assets. Hodling BCH during the fork keeps the private keys safe and secure. Note: all other assets are fine to move during this period.

Though KeepKey will allow users to view, send, and receive BCH at the time of the fork, users will not be able to ShapeShift BCH. ShapeShift is deactivating trading to and from BCH four hours before the fork for security purposes. 48 hours after the new BCH rules take effect, ShapeShift will have more information on how they will proceed. You can read more about it here.

Will KeepKey Support both Sides of the Fork?
Similar to other forks, KeepKey will monitor both sides for viability. KeepKey ultimately aims to support all viable chains that result from forks of assets we support. Viability depends on hash power, adoptions by exchanges, and other mitigating factors. Stay tuned for a follow-up announcement after the fork.

Happy hodling,

The KeepKey Team
Gentlemen prefer Engelhard.
